2015 Dodge Viper maintenance schedule

The factory schedule for normal driving. Oil changes follow the oil-change indicator on most models; severe use (towing, dusty roads, lots of idling) shortens some intervals.

A dot means the service is due at that mileage. Engines: see schedule title.

Change the engine oil and engine oil filter.
Rotate the tires, rotate at the first sign of irregular wear, even if it occurs before scheduled maintenance.
Inspect the brake linings; replace if necessary.
Inspect the exhaust system.
Change Brake Fluid
Adjust the parking brake on vehicles equipped with four wheel disc brakes.
Change the manual transmission fluid.
Inspect the manual transmission fluid, add as necessary.
Change the rear axle fluid.
Inspect front suspension, tie rod ends, and boot seals, for cracks or leaks and all parts for damage, wear, improper looseness or end play; replace if necessary.
Replace the engine air cleaner.
Replace the air conditioning filter.
Inspect and replace the PCV Valve if necessary
Replace the spark plugs (mileage based only; monthly intervals do not apply)
Flush and replace the engine coolant at 120 months if not done at 150,000 miles (240,000 km).

At each stop for fuel

  • Check the engine oil level about five minutes after a fully warmed engine is shut off, on level ground. Add oil only when the level is at or below the ADD or MIN mark.
  • Check the windshield washer solvent and add if required.

Once a month

  • Check tire pressure and look for unusual wear or damage. Rotate tires at the first sign of irregular wear, even if it occurs before your next scheduled service.
  • Inspect the battery, and clean and tighten the terminals as required.
  • Check the fluid levels of the coolant reservoir, brake master cylinder, power steering, and transmission, and add as needed.
  • Check all lights and all other electrical items for correct operation.

At each oil change

  • Change the engine oil filter.
  • Inspect the exhaust system.
  • Inspect the brake hoses.
  • Inspect the suspension components.
  • Lubricate door hinges and check springs.
  • Check the engine coolant level, hoses, and clamps.
  • Check power steering fluid level.
